This is my former retreat quarters of a two-story single-family home. With the two separate quarters, this is a perfect home for a couple who needs separate live/workspace. The in-law unit downstairs has a separate entrance so visiting family or friends can be totally comfortable and each maintains their privacy. Though there is soundproofing between the two stories which helps enormously if you have family or friends visiting and occupying the downstairs.

 

While there are a washer and dryer there is also the option to hang out your clothes.

The Santa Fe style custom paint design may not be what one would choose for their home, but so far, Everyone seems to love it as much do I.  Took me 2 months to choose these colors - very tricky since there are a total of 9 colors!!!  The downstairs has a completely different color palate (see pics below).

 

There is a wood-burning stove upstairs to knock off the chill in the mornings, however, the passive solar windows make it too hot to use during the day.  

 

All the lighting is from the Minka line of fixtures... they really illuminate the quarters with such grace.
